Teddington's History at the Twickenham Museum

Now until the end of the year

One of our popular history boards at the Twickenham Museum

Our well-travelled Teddington 800 history boards are currently on exhibition at the Twickenham Museum – and (except for the month of September) they’ll be there until the end of the year.

The boards are a tour de force by Paddy Ching, our resident historian and Vice President, with input from Sheena Harold, Ken Howe, Pieter Morpurgo and John Sheaf. They cover the history of the town from medieval times to the present day, and make absorbing reading.

The Twickenham Museum at 25 The Embankment is set in a lovely three-storey Georgian house, near the parish church of St Mary. A stone’s throw from the river, this Grade II listed building is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays between 11am and 3pm, and Sundays between 2pm and 4pm. Drop in, sign the visitors book and admire our history boards!
