• The wonderful World of Opera, from Baroque to Rock

Saturday 13th July at 7.30pm

Teddington Choral Society’s next performance, on Saturday 13th July, is The story of Opera, from Baroque to Rock.

Under its Music Director Julian Collings, the evening will comprise works from a wide range of composers from across the musical spectrum – not least Mozart, Mascagni, Purcell, Sullivan, Verdi and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The Choral Society, one of our valued Corporate Members, will be telling and singing the history of opera over 400 years. For anyone unfamiliar with this strand of classical music, this will be an inspirational and thrilling introduction to the world of opera.

The choir will be accompanied by Phil Culling on the piano and two professional soloists – soprano Miranda Heldt and tenor Daniel Joy. Not only that, but a jazz trio will also be featured in the second half of the programme.

Come and join the Teddington Choral Society for a glorious journey through the history of Opera!

The date: Saturday 13th July at 7:30pm. The place: All Saints Parish Church, Kingston, near John Lewis and the Bentall Centre. Tickets are £15 (children under 16 free) from the eventbrite website. For more information email infoteddchoral@gmail.com or visit the Teddington Choral Society website.
