• By popular demand, more Opera comes to Teddington!

Saturday 2nd November at 7.30pm

On Saturday 2nd November, the Teddington Society presents another of its successful concert performances – this time Verdi’s La Traviata. The venue again is the unique Normansfield Theatre.

The ever-popular opera will be performed by the newly established Teddington Opera – an ensemble of singers who have sung on our previous evenings and who also perform elsewhere in the UK and Europe.

Concert organiser Diana Gillespie says, “We’re so lucky to have Sonia Ben-Santamaria again directing the musicians and singers. This season Sonia was one of six women conductors selected worldwide for the 2018 Dallas Opera Hart Institute, and this summer she’s been conducting at Opera Holland Park as well.”

Heading the cast on 2nd November are Alexander Jeffries and Joelene Griffith. Proceeds from the evening will largely go to the Great Ormond Street Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – “And with a full house we should raise a significant amount for them,” says Diana.

As the concert is taking place at the Normansfield Theatre, the Down’s Syndrome Association will also benefit. Tickets can be purchased on the Langdon Down Centre website - http://langdondowncentre.org.uk - or from the Box Office there on 03331 212 300.
