For obvious reasons, this year’s festivities were a muted affair. Gone were the road closures, the huge crowds, the entertainment stage and the pop-up stalls selling food, drink and presents. Brightly lit and beautifully decorated shop windows in the High Street and Broad Street really lifted the spirits, and were a credit to the town.
