• Richmond in Bloom: a new website for a new year

• Richmond in Bloom: a new website for a new year

As we look forward to the year’s forthcoming floral activities, Richmond Borough in Bloom – the independent community group committed to enhancing the borough’s natural environment for the benefit of all who live, work or visit here – has launched a new website.

The group, founded in 1990 and strongly endorsed by the Teddington Society, is probably best known for organising the annual Richmond in Bloom competition across the borough. And as well as its annual Merit Awards gardening competitions open to all residents and businesses, and the Best Village in Bloom competition involving the whole community, the group also runs a floral art competition for children and a schools gardening contest to encourage best use of their grounds.

This busy programme is organised by a committee of volunteers from across the borough – not least Teddington, which is represented by our chairman, Sheena Harold. Their efforts contribute hugely to the outstanding success of the borough’s participation in London in Bloom and Britain in Bloom. Visit the new website: www.richmondboroughinbloom.co.uk

The 2019 competitions are kindly sponsored by Achieving for Children, Continental Landscapes Ltd, the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Prussian Blue internet marketing, and Squires Garden Centres.
