Teddington is the place we all love, and love to live in – but how much do we really know about its history and its hidden gems?

You can now find out even more than you thought you knew, thanks to the second in our series of guided walks round the town, which we’re publishing as a free download.

Our second walk begins at the Ferry Road traffic lights near the river, and takes us through the Grove Estate, along to Teddington Lock, past the new Riverside development and on to The Lensbury, pointing out interesting and surprising features and facts on the way.

Both walks have been put together by Jenny Michell, a long-time member of the Society, who’s a keen walker and cyclist herself. “Neither has to be done in one go” she says. “Both can be done in stages, entirely at your own pace. Their main purpose is to point out Teddington’s features of interest, so that the walker gets even more pleasure out of the town we all love.”

Download the second walk here: A Walk round Teddington 2 and the first walk here: A Walk Round Teddington v1.9. They come with a map, so that you can easily follow the route. We hope you enjoy it.

We welcome comments, corrections and additions which we’ll incorporate as our Walk project takes shape. Perhaps you might even like to create your own walk for others to enjoy! Do let us know – simply email members@teddingtonsociety.org.uk
