• Subject to Change podcast
Russell Hogg is a long term resident of Teddington and at the start of the pandemic he thought he would take up podcasting.
His podcast is called Subject to Change with Russell Hogg and you can find it easily if you Google that title.
He writes:
My subject is history and episodes include:
– the grisly story of the wreck of the Batavia (the leader of the survivors turned out to be a murderous madman!),
– the tale of Pear Hart (the most notorious female bandit of the America Wild West),
– the startling discovery in a remote monastery in 1417 of a manuscript with an atheistical philosophy
– and a theory that matter is in fact made up of countless invisible atoms
There are some nearly (but not quite) history episodes as well.
Tom Holland reviews the film 300 and talks brilliantly about the Spartans and a military historian gives his opinion on Lord of the Rights. Saruman? Not just a bad man but also a bad general!
Anyway this is something I do purely for the pleasure for it. There is no advertising and no financial rewards of any kind. But I do love speaking to the guests!
