Born about 1874 at Ipswich, Suffolk
Married Bridget Mary Quinn in Dublin on 8th May 1895
Father of Mary Eileen (1903), William Matthew (1904) and Ellen Aileen (1907)
Joined the British Army and served in the Sudan (1898-99) and South Africa (1899-1902)
Furniture porter of 226 Kingston Road, Teddington
Enlisted as Private (T4/158969) with the Army Service Corps (R.T.S.)
Lance Corporal (250771) with the Royal Engineers, Railway Transportation Establishment
Died of wounds at the 62nd Casualty Clearing Station in Belgium on 22nd April 1918, aged 45
Buried at Haringhe (Bandaghem) Military Cemetery, Poperinge, West Flanders, Belgium (Grave Ref. III. E. 18)
