Richard Black Finnis

Son of Robert James Finnis and Sarah Finnis née Harris

Born about September 1889 at Mortlake, Surrey

In 1914 he married Ellen Marian Wells, with whom he had five children

He enlisted at Chiswick whilst living at 79 York Road, Teddington.

Sergeant (G/41539) with Middlesex Regiment, 1st Battn.

Killed in action in France on 29th September 1918

Buried at Villers Hill British Cemetery, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France (Plot: I.C.5)
