Robert Alban Blofeld

Son of Thomas Squire Blofeld and Ellen Mary Blofeld née Baldry

of 70 Langham Road, Teddington and North Court, East Twickenham.

Brother of Revd. Charles Harcourt Blofeld of Sevenoaks, Kent

and Revd.Thomas Guest Blofeld of St Michael’s School, Otford, Kent.

Born 15th January 1887 at Friern Barnet, Hertfordshire, England

Leader of the Teddington Sea Scouts.

2nd Lt. with 8th Battn. of Isle of Wight Rifles, Princess Beatrice's Battn, Territorial, Hampshire Regiment

Reported wounded and missing in April 1917 "after the great Gaza battle"

Died of wounds as a prisoner of war in Syria on 20th April 1917, aged 30.

Probate 20th July 1917 at London

No known grave

Listed on the Jerusalem Memorial, Palestine (Panels 26-29)
