Son of Mary Ann Bird and Grandson of Richard and Elizabeth Bird of Albert Road, Teddington
Born 16th November 1894 at Teddington, Middlesex
Educated at Teddington Council School
Printers Apprentice in 1911
Enlisted at Chelsea as Private (1716), 5th (Territorial Force), London Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps
Killed in action at Zillebeke (Belgium) on 24th December 1916, aged 22
Buried at Poperinghe New Military Cemetery, Poperinge, West Flanders, Belgium (Ref: II.A.14)
