Son of Mrs Cornick of 76 Princes Road, Upper Teddington.
Son of Rev.Samuel Lee Cleverley and Alice Coverley née Walker


Born in 1882 at Stanwell, Middlesex and moved to Teddington with his mother when he was a boy.
Born 27th April 1885 at Nordelph, Norfolk


Educated at Teddington Public School and a member of St Peter and St Paul’s Church choir.
Preparatory School Tutor at Wellington Court School, Eton Road, Hampstead in 1911


He joined the Royal Marine Light Infantry and served for twelve years before joining the Orient
Emigrated to Canada on Empress of Britain (arrived Montreal on 11th October 1912)


Shipping Line as a steward and made several journeys to Australia before he finally settled in Sydney, New South Wales in 1913.
Enlisted in Canadian Army in Canada on 24th September 1914


At the outbreak of WW1 he enlisted as Private (2353) with the Australian Infantry, A.I.F., 18th Battn. 
Lance Corporal (214510) with Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment), 8th Battalion


He died of wounds in France on 29 Jul 1916 from injuries sustained a few days earlier, aged 34.
Killed in action in France or Belgium on 14th June 1916, aged 28


Buried at Warloy-Baillon Communal Cemetery Extension, Picardie, France  (Plot: VII. A. 13)
