Albert Edward James
Son of Samuel Charles James of Norwood, Surrey
and Elizabeth James née Taylor of 6 West Road, Teddington
Born about March 1898 at Upper Norwood, Surrey
Educated at King Edward’s School for Boys, Witley, Surrey.
Joined The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) as Private (206651)in 1913.
Enlisted at Guildford as Private (G/18503) with the Royal Sussex Regiment, 11th Battn.
Killed in action on 27th September 1917, aged 19
Buried at Hooge Crater Cemetery, Ypres (Ieper), West Flanders, Belgium (Plot: VIII. A. 7.)
