Sidney Charles Bushnell

Son of Charles and Bessie (Day) Bushnell of Fulwell Road, Teddington.

Born c. Aug 1891 at Teddington

Educated at Teddington Council School.

Assistant to Mr C. Weedon (baker and Confectioner) of Hampton Road, Hampton Hill for six years.

Enlisted at Twickenham in August 1914, while living at Isleworth.

Private (6364) with Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), 7th Battn.

Wounded in the Dardanelles and later was on a ship which was torpedoed.

On home leave in December 1915 but was wounded in France in early 1916.

Killed in action in France in 13 Nov 1916, aged 25.

Buried at Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel, Picardie, France (Plot:III.A.50)
