Albert Edward James
Son of Samuel Charles James of Norwood, Surrey
and Elizabeth James née Taylor of 6 West Road, Teddington
Born about March 1898 at Upper Norwood, Surrey
Educated at King Edward’s School for Boys, Witley, Surrey.
Enlisted in 1913 as a tailor and Private (206651) with The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment).
His regiment served in India with the 53rd Division and fought at Gallipoli and in Gaza in 1917.
He died on 2nd January 1918, aged 19
Buried at Jerusalem War Cemetery (Plot: S. 22)
