Alfred James Smith

Born about December 1895 at Teddington

Son of James Smith and Sarah Smith née Palmer

Lived at 15 Lindum Road, Teddington, Middlesex

Enlisted at Surbiton whilst living at Teddington.

Private (1398) with Royal Army Medical Corps.

Private (61234) with Machine Gun Corps (Infantry, 185th Coy.

Served in Mesopotamia

Died of wounds on 20th February 1917, aged 21

Buried at Amara War Cemetery, Al`Amarah Maysan, Iraq
