Enlisted on Teddington as Private (70264) with Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), 17th Battn.

Killed in action at Somme, France on 20th October 1916, aged 40

Listed on the Thiepval Memorial, Picardie, France (Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A)

Listed on family grave in Teddington Cemetery
