Albert Edward James

Son of Samuel Charles James of Norwood, Surrey

and Elizabeth James née Taylor of 6 West Road, Teddington

Born about March 1898 at Upper Norwood, Surrey

Educated at King Edward’s School for Boys, Witley, Surrey.

Enlisted in 1913 as a tailor and Private (206651) with The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment).

and later as Private (G/18503) the Royal Sussex Regiment, 11th Battn.

Died on 27th September 1917, aged 19

Buried at Hooge Crater Cemetery, Ypres (Ieper), West Flanders, Belgium (Plot: VIII. A. 7.)
