Son of Henry Robert Fargus (1850-1927) and Helen Mary Fargus née Skinner (1855-1940)
of 34 Waldegrave Park, Twickenham, Middlesex
and Milton House, Strawberry Hill, Middlesex
Born 8th June 1887 at Twickenham, Middlesex
Educated at Rugby School Solicitor and partner in the firm of Messrs. Clayton, Sons and Fargus of Lancaster Place, London
For several years he was connected with Twickenham Rugby Football Club and played for the team during their record seasons 1906 to 1909.
He was also a prominent member of the Waldegrave Park Cricket Club and played for Twickenham
and a member of Fulwell Golf Club at Teddington
He was also very active in the Masonic Order, being the Worshipful Master of the "Felix" Lodge.
He was serving as Lieutenant commanding the machine gun section of 9th Battn. London Regiment (Queen Victoria's Rifles)
when he was killed by an enemy sniper 1st January 1915, aged 27 years.
