James Drinkwater

Son of George Henry Drinkwater and Mary Drinkwater of 71 Wick Road, Teddington

Born about 1898 at Ballymoney, County Wexford, Ireland

Employed as a milkman

Enlisted on 21st July 1915 at East Molesey (Surrey), whilst living at Teddington,

as Private (9962) with the East Surrey Regiment, 12th Battalion

He claimed his age as 19 years 3 months, although he was only 17 years old at that time.

Killed in action in France or Flanders on 7th June 1917, aged 19


Listed on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, West Flanders, Belgum
