Born about August 1880 at Redhill, Surrey
Enlisted as Private (16467) at Eastbourne, Sussex on 24th February 1900
Served with the 69th Company of the Sussex Regiment, Imperial Yeomanry Service
during the South African Campaign (Boer War)
Promoted through the ranks from Private to Major and left the Army in 1908.
Manager of a Mineral Water Factory in 1911 (Possibly the Idris Mineral Water Company in Teddington)
and registered as living at 73 Hampton Road, Teddington in 1912
Member of Fulwell Golf Club
Lieutenant Colonel with the Worcestershire Regiment, 14th Battn.
Killed in action in France on 25th March 1918, age 38 years
Probate awarded to Mrs Frances Ladd in London on 20th Dec 1918
Listed on the Arras Memorial, Arras, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, France
Listed on Fulwell Golf Club War Memorial
