Edward William Ashlee

Son of George Thomas Ashlee and Margaret Ann Ashlee née Skillen

Spouse of Margaret Helen Ashlee née Mein of 49 Wick Road, Teddington

Born 4th November 1897 at Rainham, Kent

Joined the Royal Navy and awarded Long Service and Good Conduct Medal

whilst serving on HMS Dolphin in 1935.

Patrolman Labourer with the Admiralty living at 49 Wick Road, Teddington

Re-joined Royal Navy as Petty Officer (C/J 24248) serving on HMS Forfar

He died when his ship was torpedoed on 2nd December 1940, aged 43 years

Listed on the Chatham Memorial, Kent, England (34,2)
