Ian McConachie Hyem

Son of Walter Hyem and Helen Hyem of Nottinghamshire

Spouse of Doris Gwendoline Hyem née Pill of 30 Avenue Road, Teddington

Born 16th January 1916 at West Bridgford, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Royal Navy Coder (C/JX 251220) serving on H.M.S. Neptune,

Died 19th December 1941 when H.M.S. Neptune was sunk by mines

off the coast of Tripoli with the loss of 736 crew members.

No other grave but the sea.

Listed on the Chatham Memorial, Kent, England (46.2)
