Alfred Ernest Grove

Son of George Grove and Ellen Grove née Kevis

of Edith Terrace, Walpole Road, Teddington.

Born about September 1888 at Teddington

His father George died in 1900 and his mother Ellen in 1908.

Butcher's assistant and boarder at 48 Walpole Road, Teddington in 1911.

Member of Teddington Rovers Football Club

Enlisted at Kingston-on-Thames as Private (14587), Hampshire Regiment, 2nd Battn.

Killed in action on 17th May 1915 at Gallipoli

Listed on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Canakkale, Turkey
