Philip William Dalton

Son of Francis and Sarah Elizabeth Dalton of 26 Somerset Road, Teddington.

Born 17th June 1890 at Teddington

Enlisted at Hounslow in 1914, whilst living at Teddington, as Private (14388) with the Royal Fusiliers.

He later transferred as Private (27572) with the Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), 94th Company.

Killed in action on 1st July 1916 at France or Flanders, probably during the first day of the 'Battle of the Somme'.

No known grave

Listed on the Thiepval Memorial, Departement de la Somme, Picardie, France (Pier and Face 5C and 12C)
