Ernest Abbett

Born 22 Mar 1882 at Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

One of eight brothers who served during World War 1.

Enlisted at Hounslow. Private (6733) Middlesex Regiment (1914- ) ;

Rifleman (208861) Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort's Own), 19th (Western) Bn. (Territorial) (1917)

Killed in action on 12 Oct 1917 at Egypt.

Buried at Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, El-Qantarah el-Sharqiyya, Al Isma'iliyah, Egypt (Plot: E. 445)
