Son of Lewis John Compton and Lily Compton née Evans

of 137 Church Road, Teddington, Middlesex

Born about 3rd July 1920 at Gilfach Goch, Glamorgan, Wales

Sergeant (1379298), Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 207 Sqdn.

Died 14th October 1941 in Belgium, aged 21 years

when his aircraft was shot down by a German night-fighter

Buried at Schaffen Communal Cemetery, Belgium (Grave 10)
