Son of Zebulon John Elliott and Fanny Turner Elliott née Iles of Hampton Wick, Middlesex

Born about March 1889 at Bedminster, Somerset

Gunner with 56th Battery, Royal Field Artillery at Topsham Artillery Barracks, Heavitree, Devon in 1911

Married Dora Lillian Wallace about December 1913

Lived at 11 Sunnyside Road, Teddington

Wireman in the Engineer’s Department of the G.P.O., attached to the St Margaret’s Exchange.

As member of the Army Reserves he was called up at the outbreak of war and served in France for a year.

as Bombardier (46372) with 35th Battalion, 37th Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery

Killed in action in France on 3rd October 1915, aged 26

Buried at Vermelles British Cemetery, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France (Grave Ref. I.J.30)
