Son of Ephraim Excell and Ellen Excell née Ind

Born about September 1885 at Remenham, Berkshire

Enlisted at Hounslow in 1915 whilst living at 15 Walpole Road, Teddington

Private (T.F.241501) with the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex) Regiment, 1/8th Battalion

Reported missing presumed killed in action in France on 16th August 1917, aged 32

Listed on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West Flanders, Belgium (Panel 113 to 115)
