Son of Herbert Robert Fair and Lilian Louisa Kate Fair née Bell

Born 28th September 1915

Educated at Thames Valley Grammar School, Twickenham

Graduated from Shoreditch College in 1937

Handycrafts School teacher of 17 Kings Road, Teddington

Pilot Officer (64935), Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 50 Sqdrn.

Died 25th March 1942 when his aircraft crashed whilst on route to Gardening-Lorient airport.

His body was not recovered but his name is inscribed on a grave dedicated to crew members

at Finistere, Brest (Kerfautras) Cemetery, France (Plot 46, Row 12, Grave 13)
