Jack Albert Fowler

Son of Percy Albert Fowler and Dorothy Edith Fowler née Beswell of Surbiton, Surrey

Spouse of Gladys Irene Fowler née Peach of 84 Atbara Road, Teddington

Born 4th July 1917 at Kingston (or Tolworth or Surbiton)

Timekeeper at Aircraft Factory living at Worthington Road, Surbiton, Surrey

Enlisted 17th January 1940 as Private with the East Surrey Regiment

Transferred as Corporal, 2nd Battn., Royal Warwickshire Regiment

He took part in the fierce fighting around Caen in France following

the ‘D-Day’ landings and died on 6th August 1944, aged 27 years.

Buried in Bayeux War Cemetery - Calvados
