Ernest Griffin

Son of Mrs Griffin of the Almshouses, Teddington

Born 25th July 1883 at Hampton, Middlesex

Member of the Teddington Baptist Church

Employed at the Hampton Co-Operative Stores for fourteen years.

Emigrated to Canada around 1910 and working for the Swift Beef Company in America when he enlisted.

Married in Canada in June 1917 and went to the Front soon afterwards.


Killed in action in France on 27th September 1918, aged 35

Buried at the Bourlon Wood Cemetery, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France (Grave Ref: II. C. 12)
