Robert Charles Platt

Son of James Francis Platt and Amelia Louisa Minnie Platt née Court

of 7 Cambridge Crescent, Teddington

Born 17th August 1913 at Edmonton, Middlesex

Aeronautical process engineer of 7 Cambridge Crescent, Teddington in 1939

Completed his aircrew training in Phoenix, Arizona in 1941

Flight Lieutenant (Pilot) (139424), Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 50 Sqdn.

His aircraft was on a bombing mission when hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed

at Bonn-Mehlem, Germany on 5th July 1943 resulting in the deaths of all its crew.

Buried in Overloon War Cemetery, Netherlands, aged 29 Years
