The WW1 War Memorial of Teddington Baptist Church
The WW1 War Memorial of Teddington Baptist Church Sunday School has the following three names on it:
The erection of this War Memorial plaque was organised and paid for by the Sunday School of Teddington Baptist Church. It was originally erected in the Sunday School Halls and was unveiled in November 1920. It only has three names on it because the criteria seem to have been that those selected had to be both members of the Church and workers in the Sunday School. There may have been the intention to have another War Memorial erected with the names of all those connected with the Church on it, but that did not happen in the immediate aftermath of WW1.
However, in 2019, a Roll of Honour was compiled with the names of twenty-six people connected with Teddington Baptist Church who died as a result of military service in WW1.
