Charles William Townsend

Born about September 1892 at South Teddington

His mother died when he was just a child and he was brought up by his Aunt,

Mrs Charlotte Elizabeth Phillips of 25 Lindum Road, South Teddington

Educated at Hampton Wick Endowed School

Rifleman (R/14115), Kings Royal Rifle Corps, 2nd Battalion

Died of wounds in France on 11th December 1915, aged 23

Buried at Chocques Military Cemetery, Chocques, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, France (Grave Ref. I. H. 40)
