Derek Arthur Weare

Son of Frederick Weare and Margaret Weare née Craig of 177 Kingston Road, Teddington

Born about July 1923

Flying Officer (Nav) (156001), D.F.C.(January 1944) Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 109 Sqdn.

Died on 21st December 1944 when his aircraft was returning to base and came down amongst

trees near Saxmundham in Suffolk, aged 22 Years

Buried 29th December 1944 in Cambridge City Cemetery, Cambridgeshire

Listed in the Little Staughton RAF Roll of Honour for 109 Squadron

Listed on St Mark’s Church Teddington WW2 War Memorial
