In the 1970s Teddington Society Survey, Trowlock Avenue is given as a residential road out of Broom Road, leading to a small enclosed park or garden on the river bank. The garden was for the residents of the avenue only, entered by a lych gate. The houses are shown as detached, in mock-Tudor style (of early 1930s), exc. no. 21 (modern detached double-fronted).
