The house has been known as Bradden Villa and then as Portland Lodge and is shown on the 1863/4 Ordnance Survey map. It is a mid-Victorian stuccoed villa with a centrally placed front door and porch. It has sash windows and there are iron railings on the window cills. The front boundary is marked with ornamental railings. The house is in poor repair.
