No. 21 is one of a pair of semi detached cottages (with No. 23), with a frontage on to the pedestrian part of Middle Lane leading to North Lane, two storey, brick built, slate roof, with a side addition with front door, similar to Nos. 13 and 15. It has a 2-storey extension behind the front door with slate mansard and a flat roof. The rear slab fronted elevation is rather disappointing. The side of the cottage overlooks the car park to Elleray Hall. It has a small front garden with a brick boundary wall.
