Nos. 38-40: Appears to be one large building but is two detached Victorian villas of 3-storey with basement, of stock brick and slate with large half-round bays at main ground floor rooms, joined by a modern central section erected between the wars to form a block of offices known as Nation House.
No. 42: Villa, detached Victorian, 3-storey with basement, on corner site. Of stock brick and slate with small brick tower. Brick work of ground floor and basement rendered and painted. Bays on ground floor and basement, front and west side of house. Ornate balcony over entrance. Formerly called Fairview Hotel.
